Eppendorf® Microcentrifuge 5424
Eppendorf expands its line of benchtop microcentrifuges with the 5424. This easy-to-use microcentrifuge features a certified aerosol-tight rotor and a unique, contoured rotor bowl design to reduce noise.
Model 5424 expands its application range by offering optional rotors to accommodate microcentrifuge tubes,
miniprep spin columns and PCR tube strips.

- Comes standard with a 24 x 1.5 ml–2.0 ml certified aerosol-tight rotor and lid
- A unique, contoured rotor bowl design to reduce noise
- An innovative lid design with an automatic opening at end of run for easy sample removal
- Five digit speed display
- A “molecular grade” speed of over 21,000 x g
- Easy-to-access options include: Short Spin Speed Setting; Braking, "At Set" function and Adjustable Volume Alarm
- Optional rotors available:
- 18-place miniprep spin column rotor and lid;
- 4 x 8-tube PCR strips rotor and lid;
- 24-place "coated" aerosol-tight fixed angle rotor and lid for improved chemical resistance (Phenol, Acetic Acid, Sodium Hypochlorite)
- Two versions available:
- “Soft touch” rotary knob version with a quick and easy way to dial in settings for parameter changes
- Keypad version with a smooth keypad surface for easy, wipe-down cleaning
