    Eppendorf Mastercycler 384

The Mastercycler 384 is ideal for use in modern high-throughput labs. Its unique gradient block is designed specifically for a 384-well microplate, and its programmable gradient function generates a temperature gradient of up to 20 °C across the block. When optimizing a PCR protocol, the gradient function enables rapid testing of different temperatures over 24 rows during one experiment. Thus, the ideal annealing temperature is determined rapidly and reliably.

Like its predecessor, the Eppendorf Mastercycler gradient, the Mastercycler 384 utilizes Steady Slope and Triple Circuit Technology. Steady Slope ensures that results from an "optimizing" run are transferred to a "normal" run with uniform temperature ramping rates. Triple Circuit Technology provides an additional heating and cooling zone to ensure precise temperature control for all gradient profiles.

The optimized geometry of the thermoblock ensures perfect contact of all 384 tubes with the metal walls. Defined contact pressure ensures that the plate remains sealed during the PCR process.
